Summary

Prepares and performs various sonography studies per protocol and as ordered per the provider. Processes studies to include preparation for interpretation by the physician and a preliminary test result. Provides patient care in accordance with the standards of care specific to age and the individuals' needs. Coordinates departments QA initiatives. Is responsible for facilitating the national accreditation process.

Full Time, Day Shift

40 hours, 8 hour shifts

$5,000 Sign-on Bonus! 

Qualifications

Education

Associates degree in allied health, applied science or completion of certificate program is required.

Bachelors degree in science, allied health or related field is preferred.

High school diploma/GED AND 5 years working as a sonographer may be considered in lieu of associates degree.

Experience

2 years of vascular ultrasound/sonography experience is required.

7 years of sonography/ultrasound experience (with 2 years in vascular sonography/ultrasound) is required if meeting the education equivalency.

Certifications, Licenses and Registrations

Certification as a Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) from the American Registry of Diagnostic Sonographers (ARDMS) or a Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) is required.

Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.
