Summary

  • Department: Cath Lab
  • Schedule: Part time, 32 hrs/week, day shift (7am-3:30 pm or 7:30am-4pm), on call rotation
  • Facility:  Will work at both St. Vincent Hospital and St. Mary's Hospital
  • Location: Green Bay, WI

Assists the physician with the performance of invasive and diagnostic/interventional cardiac, vascular, neuro and electrophysiology procedures, by monitoring, passing instruments and catheters, observing patient response to procedure, maintaining sterile field, and interpreting and evaluating diagnostic data to be utilized by the physician. Supports the education, training, and quality improvement processes in the department.

Qualifications

Education Qualifications:High School Diploma or GED is required.

Completion of a certificate/training program or an Associates degree in health sciences is preferred (including but not limited to cardiovascular technology, respiratory therapy, nursing, or emergency medical services).

Experience Qualifications:1 year of direct patient care experience is required.Previous cath lab or procedural experience is preferred.

Certifications, Licenses and Registrations:One of the following is required: Licensure in the state of practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Respiratory Therapist (RT), Emergency Medical Technician, Paramedic OR graduate from an accredited cardiovascular technology program.

Certification or registry eligible as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) is preferred.

Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is required or obtained within 6 months of hire.
