Summary

  • RRT
  • PRN (as needed), M-F 6am-16:30pm, ability to be on call twice a month

Provides for the treatment, management, control, diagnostic evaluation and care of patients with deficiencies and abnormalities of the cardio-respiratory system. Measures, observes, assesses, and monitoring signs and symptoms, reactions, general behavior, and general physical response of individuals to respiratory care services including the determination of whether those signs, symptoms, reactions, behaviors, or general physical responses exhibit abnormal characteristics. Administers pharmacological and therapeutic agents related to respiratory care services. Collects blood specimens and other bodily fluids and tissues for, and the performance of, cardiopulmonary diagnostic testing procedures. Develops, implements, and modifies respiratory care treatment plans based on assessed abnormalities of the cardiopulmonary system, respiratory care guidelines, referrals, and orders of a licensed healthcare professional. Applies, operates, and manages mechanical ventilatory support and other means of life support. Initiates emergency procedures as appropriate.

Certifications, Licenses and Registrations

Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Required

Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner in the state of practice Required

Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
