Summary
Performs repairs and preventive maintenance of mechanical equipment. Assists with work on other building systems and components. Assists the affiliate's with compliance of the environment of care management plans.
- Performing routine maintenance in and around the building including but not limited to: Grounds maintenance, window & door repair, carpentry repairs, routine building inspections, etc.
- Repairing clogged, broken, or leaking plumbing to avoid water damage and restore full use of water fixtures
- Diagnose more severe plumbing problems and be able to convey related info to a licensed plumber
- Performing repairs on minor electrical issues including faulty breakers, outlets, light switches, etc.
- Diagnose more severe electrical problems and be able to convey related info to a licensed electrician
- Perform minor HVAC maintenance including filter changes & unit cleaning
- Diagnose more severe HVAC problems and be able to convey related info to the HSHS HVAC Tech
- Applying preventative measures to the building to reduce the risk of future problems
- Fixing potential safety hazards to avoid injuries
- Interior & exterior painting as needed for refresh or finish changes
Qualifications
Education
High School Diploma, GED or related vocational training is required
Experience
One year of Facilities Maintenance experience is preferred
Certifications, Licenses and Registrations
Valid state driver’s license and must be insurable to operate hospital vehicles is required.
