Summary

Part-time Nights, 20 Hours/Week

Performs comprehensive polysomnographic testing, scoring, analysis and associated interventions under the general oversight of the department's assigned leader and/or the medical director. Adheres to AASM guidelines and to departmental policies and procedures when performing job duties.

Qualifications

Education

Enrollment in an A-Step program is required.In lieu of the A-step program requirement, successful completion of an accredited educational program leading to an associate degree with an emphasis in Polysomnography is required OR; successful completion of a Polysomnography program associated with a state licensed and/or a nationally accredited facility is required.

Completion of A-Step program within one year of hire is required.

Experience

Experience in sleep lab setting or 1-2 years of equivalent healthcare experience is preferred.Experience using EPIC, Meditech or other healthcare-based data system is preferred.

Certifications, Licenses and Registrations

Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.A-Step program completion within 1 year of hire is required.Registered Sleep Technologist (RST) and/or Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) is preferred. Meeting the eligibility requirements for certification by the American Board of Sleep Medicine (ABSM) as a Registered Sleep Technologist/Registered Polysomnographic Technologist or equivalent is preferred.
