Summary

Neonatal Nurse Practitioner - NICU – HSHS St. Vincent Hospital - Green Bay, WI

HSHS St. Vincent Hospital is recruiting a BC Neonatal Nurse Practitioner for our Level 3 Nursery team in Green Bay, WI. HSHS St. Vincent's Hospital works in partnership with Hospital Sisters Health System.

Position Requirements

  • Unrestrictive Wisconsin license prior to start
  • Board Certified
  • 2+ years of prior practicing experience is strongly preferred, but not required.

Position Details

  • 24 hour shifts with all time spent in house at the hospital.
  • This position requires the NNP to work 9 24-hour shifts over a 6 week schedule.
    • Schedule is very flexible 
    • Position is considered a salaried position, so annual salary is paid out in bi-weekly pay periods despite the schedule being shift based over 6 weeks.
  • NNP on shift will cover the level 3 nursery and attend high risk deliveries.
  • 1 Neonatal Physician is always on-site with 1 NNP each shift.

    • There is opportunity to earn above the set annual base by covering surgical needs & emergency transports, which are determined by the hospital around the coverage needs.

Qualifications

Education

Master’s degree in Nursing is required.

Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing PLUS 5 years relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

Doctoral degree in Nursing is preferred.

Experience

Experience in management of patients across the care continuum preferred.

Certifications, Licenses and Registrations

Licensed in the state of practice as Advanced Practice Registered Nurse is required.

Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services (WDSPS) or Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.

Board certification from the National Certification Corporation is preferred.

Controlled Substance license in state of practice is preferred.

Federal DEA license is preferred.

Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification is preferred.
