Summary

Neonatal Nurse Practitioner - NICU – HSHS St. Anthony's Hospital - Effingham, Illinois

HSHS St. Anthony's Hospital is recruiting a BC/BE Neonatal Nurse Practitioner for our Level 2 Nursery team Effingham, IL. HSHS St. Anthony's Hospital works in partnership with Hospital Sisters Health System.

Position Requirements

  • Unrestrictive Illinois license prior to start
  • Board Certified or Board Eligibility
  • 2+ years of prior practicing experience is strongly preferred, but not required.

Position Details

  • 24 hour shifts with all time spent in house at the hospital.
  • Full-time NNPs are required to work 3-4 shifts per 2 week pay period.
    • There is only on neonatal provider in house per shift
  • NNP on shift will cover the level 2 nursery and attend all high risk deliveries

Compensation & Benefits Package

  • Base guarantee
    • There is opportunity to earn above the set annual base by picking up incentive shifts, which are determined by the hospital around the coverage needs.
  • CME reimbursement per fiscal year

Qualifications

Education

Master’s degree in Nursing is required.

Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing PLUS 5 years relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

Doctoral degree in Nursing is preferred.

Experience

Experience in management of patients across the care continuum preferred.

Certifications, Licenses and Registrations

Licensed in the state of practice as Advanced Practice Registered Nurse is required.

Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services (WDSPS) or Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required. Board certification from the National Certification Corporation is preferred.

Controlled Substance license in state of practice is preferred.

Federal DEA license is preferred.

Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification is preferred.
