Summary

  • Schedule – must be able to work every other weekend on dayshift and maybe one weekday (2x12 shifts weekly- 6:45am-7:10pm).  There is also miscellaneous midnight shifts you can pick up (but not obligated 6:45pm-7:10am).  You may also assist as a behavioral health sitter as needed.  Holidays - will work 2 holidays per year
  • CNA or EMT experience.  New grads are fine if you are a go getter, willing to learn, have good poeple skills in diffficult/stressful situations.  Will do vitals, EKGs, Casts, Foley caths, remove IVs, swabs, etc.  Most techs are happy because they get more autonomy in the ED
  • Team has 3 FT Emergency Techs.  Great team with low turnover.  Everyone is treated equal by all staff

Performs patient care under the direction of a registered nurse. Greets, assists, and directs patients and visitors and monitors activity to establish a friendly caring environment. Provides care for patients according to the standards of care specific to age and the individual's needs. May collect blood samples and process specimens. Maintains a safe, clean, and well-equipped environment.

Qualifications

Education

High School Diploma, GED or related vocational training is required.

Experience

1 year healthcare experience is preferred.

Certifications, Licenses and Registrations

Basic Life Support (BLS) is required within 30 days upon hire.

EMT (Emergency Medical Technician), CNA (Certified Nurse Assistant), or PCT (Patient Care Technician) certification is preferred.
