Summary

The Coordinator-Revenue Integrity will work closely with Hospital Sisters Health System (HSHS) Clinical, Ancillary, and Revenue Cycle departments to ensure appropriate charge capture, documentation, clinical and revenue cycle workflows, and reimbursement are obtained in accordance with HSHS policies, procedures, best practice standards, applicable regulatory standards, and requirements. This position provides charge capture and reconciliation guidance and training to the clinical teams within HSHS.

This role is 100% remote in our remote-eligible states. We are accepting applicants that can work remotely and live in AZ, FL, GA, IA, IL, IN, KY, MI, MO, MT, NC, NE, NV, TN, TX, OH, WA, or WI.

Qualifications

Education

Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration or finance field is required.

Master's degree in healthcare administration or finance field is preferred.

A high school diploma or equivalent and 5 years of experience in healthcare revenue integrity may be considered in lieu of a Bachelor's degree.

Experience

A minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare revenue integrity is required.

(This experience level is in addition to the 5 years of experience for consideration in lieu of Bachelor's degree.)

1-3 years of experience with Microsoft products, Excel, Word, Access, and/or Visio, is required.

Certifications, Licenses and Registrations

One or more of the following credentials is required upon hire: American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT), Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), Certified Coding Associate (CCA), or American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC) Certified Professional Coder (CPC), or Certified Outpatient Coder (COC), or National Association of Healthcare Revenue Integrity (NAHRI) Certification in Healthcare Registry (CHRI).

EPIC Resolute Hospital Billig certification is preferred.
